Letter from Principal
Welcome to St. Agnes Academy. We are located on the beautiful island of Key Biscayne, just off the Miami mainland. St. Agnes Academy was founded in 1973 and is a Parochial Catholic School of the Archdiocese of Miami serving students from PK3-8th grades.
St. Agnes Academy promotes strong Catholic values and academic excellence while encouraging students to be lifelong learners. JOY (Jesus first, Others second and Yourself last) is our call to action. JOY is at the core of all we do at St. Agnes. We teach and model that, as Catholics,we have a responsibility for the well-being of others, and encourage students to think globally and strive to make a positive difference within their own community.
St. Agnes Academy provides a faith-filled environment, incorporating Catholic teachings across the curriculum and in all aspects of daily life. We plant, nurture, and sow the seeds of our faith by providing students with a variety of faith-filled experiences, such as weekly mass, spiritual retreats, community service, daily prayer, and sacrament preparation. It is our commitment to promoting strong Catholic values and traditions, along with a rigorous and challenging curriculum that distinguishes our school.
We, at St. AgnesAcademy, believe that every student is a unique child of God. We are focused on nurturing the whole child while meeting the needs of each individual learner. At St. Agnes Academy studentlearning is a priority. This is achieved by respecting different learning styles and offering hands-on experiences, collaboration, problem-solving and critical thinking opportunities.
Our curriculum is set forth by the Archdiocese of Miami Department of Schools and is based on best practices. The curriculum is implemented in a challenging and motivational manner that prepares students to thrive in an increasingly global society. The highly qualified faculty and administration are certified by the state of Florida in their respective areas of expertise. Our staff is committed to molding students into moral young adults with strong Catholic values within a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment of academic excellence. St. Agnes Academy also promotes the fine arts including art, music, and drama. Additionally, we provide a state-of-the-art STEM lab and 1-1 iPad program.
St. Agnes Academy is a proud member of the TWIN (Two-Way Immersion Network) Program through The Roche Center of Boston College.
