Middle School Ministry

The St. Agnes Middle School Ministry experience is created for early adolescents in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. This program is designed to meet the educational, spiritual, emotional, and social needs of young adolescents. These early teens are always welcome and are encouraged to bring their friends to these gatherings. Annual enrollment is required.

Within the context of faith, middle school youth are moving from a child-like spirituality to one that will hopefully reach its pinnacle, through the work of their family and youth ministry, into an adult faith commitment to Jesus Christ and the Catholic Community.

Middle school youth are at a critical juncture in their life, and if we as a church don’t assist their family to do something to help them, they may drift off into a faithless existence. However, if we as a church are going to give them what they need in life: Jesus Christ, the Sacraments, Sacred Scripture, the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, and a Catholic Community to love, nurture and challenge them, they can’t help but be fulfilled.

Middle School Ministry meets twice a month: second and fourth Thursday of the month. Our meetings are from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The meetings will be held either online or in person depending on the circumstances with the virus and Archdiocese’s instruction in this regard. The meetings will start in September. Annual enrollment is required.
