Extracurricular Activities

Chess Club

Students in Kinder to 8th grades may join the Chess Club. This club meets weekly and is led by Chess Life Master, Oscar Maldonado.

Enrichment Program

The school offers after-school enrichment classes, allowing children to achieve successes beyond those offered during school hours.

Classes vary each month, but typically include subjects such as:

  • Accelerated Reader Club,
  • Math Fun,
  • Piano,
  • Music Theater Club,
  • Arts and Crafts,
  • Homework Help

Kid Archimedes

This club is for students in grades 1st to 4th. The program includes engineering design challenges and other creative projects that will engage students’ heads, hearts and hands. Build rockets, tabletop games, tin foil boats, paracord bracelets, mousetrap cars, and more.

National Junior Honor Society

7th and 8th graders may be nominated to join the National Junior Honor Society, based on their academic performance, as well as demonstrated qualities of service, leadership, character and citizenship.

Patrol Guards

5th graders serve as patrol guards, assisting with the safe and orderly arrival of students in the morning.

Soccer Shots

This program introduces soccer in a fun, safe and controlled environment. Students will learn team play and basic soccer skills. Led by Soccer Shots, these sessions are for students in grades PK-3 to 3rd.

Sports Teams

St. Agnes competitive sports teams include girls’ and boys’ volleyball, soccer, flag football, basketball, cross country, and cheerleading. Students in grades 4th to 8th can try out. Our teams practice after school several times a week, and compete with teams from other schools within the Archdiocese of Miami.

Student Council

8th graders may run for office as President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer of the school's Student Council. Elections are held at the beginning of each school year.

Yearbook Staff

7th and 8th graders are eligible to join the Yearbook Staff, working as editors, writers, photographers or designers.
